EVERGREEN FOREST
NARRATOR: It was a couple of days away from Earth Day. And the Chipmunks and the Chipettes have arrived in the Evergreen Forest for an Earth Day Benefit concert, organised by Cyril Sneer and Ingrid Bellamour.'

BLUE SPRUCE CAFE
The Chipmunks and the Chipettes were having their lunch at the cafe.
SCHAEFFER: 'It's good to see you guys again. This is the fifteenth time you visited the forest, isn't it?'
ALVIN: 'We've visited this place so many times, we kinda lost count.'
BRITTANY: 'We're just happy to perform at a concert on an important day.'
Bert and Cedric walked in.
BERT: 'Hey Schaeffer. Can we have the usual?'
SCHAEFFER: 'Sure thing guys. One peanut butter sandwich and one bowl of chocolate pudding coming up.'
BRITTANY: (to Alvin) 'Y'know Alvie, this is gonna be the greatest concert ever.'
BERT: 'Hey Alvin, I've been meaning to ask. How come you let Brittany call you "Alvie" sometimes?'
ALVIN: 'Well, Brittany once had a dream that she and the other Chipettes were a team called "Alvie's Angels".'
BERT: 'Sort of a spoof of "Charlie's Angels"?'
ALVIN: 'Yes, and in the dream I was Alvie. So she decided to give me my nickname. But don't you guys start calling me that - Brittany's the only one I allow to call me that.'
BRITTANY: 'That's right, Bert. And don't you forget it! Get it?'
BERT: (saluting) 'Got it.'
BRITTANY: 'Good.'
BERT: (whispers to Cedric) 'I'm taking Michelle's advice, to stay on Brittany's good side.'
CEDRIC: (chuckles) 'Good idea.'
SIMON: 'By the way Cedric, have you and Sophia thought about what song you're going to sing?'
CEDRIC: 'Actually yes. A song that was sung by John Schneider and the late Dottie West, "One More Night", it's called.'
JEANETTE: 'Sounds like a pretty song.'
BERT: 'What about you guys?'
ELEANOR: (giggles) 'We're not telling. You'll just have wait and see.'
THEODORE: 'If we told now, it'd ruin the surprise. (belches) 'Scuse me.'

THE SNEER MANSION
Cyril was talking on the phone in his office.
CYRIL: 'That's right, Mr. Knox. An Earth Day Concert, featuring the Chipmunks. Spread the word. We'll make this forest one of the greenest places on Earth. And I'm not talking about money this time.'
KNOX: (Voice Over) 'Of course you're not talking about money this time. You have changed a lot when we teamed up as environmental crusaders.'
CYRIL: 'And don't you forget it. Now let's get to work.'
KNOX: (V.O.) 'Yes, Mr. Sneer.'
Cyril put the phone down. A bear walked past the door.
CYRIL: 'Hey you! Get in here!'
BEAR: 'Yes, Boss?'
CYRIL: What time is it?'
BEAR: 'I'll give ya the time, Boss.' (moves his sleeve, revealing three watches)
CYRIL: (noticing) 'What's the idea of the three watches?'
BEAR: 'That's the way I tell time.'
CYRIL: 'How do ya tell time?'
BEAR: '(points to 1st watch) This one's 10 minutes slow, (points to 3rd watch) this one is 20 minutes fast, (points to middle watch) the one in the middle is broken - it's stopped at 2:00.'
CYRIL: 'Well, how do ya tell time?'
BEAR: 'I take the 10 minutes slow, and subtract from the 20 minutes fast, and divide by the 2 in the middle.'
CYRIL: 'Well, what time is it now?'
BEAR: (takes out a pocket watch) 'Oh, it's 9:30.'
Cyril pulled his ears in frustration.

PENNY RACCOON'S HOME
Bentley was standing outside. He knocked on the door, and Margaret answered it.
MARGARET: 'Bentley Raccoon.'
BENTLEY: 'Hi Mrs. Raccoon. Is Penny home?'
MARGARET: 'She's in her room.'
BENTLEY: 'Thanks.'
He ran into the house, and Margaret smiled as he ran in.

PENNY'S ROOM
Penny put on a CD, on her boom box, and it started playing music. She sang "Country Road" from the anime film, "Whisper of the Heart". She was wearing her blue and white stripe top, and she wore a blue skirt. She danced as she sang "Country Road". Bentley peeked behind the bedroom door as he saw Penny sing and dance. Penny spotted Bentley, and froze with shock. She covered her mouth, and turned off the CD.
PENNY: 'Hello Bentley, err, how much did you see?'
BENTLEY: 'Enough. I didn't realise you were such a talented singer.'
PENNY: (blushing) 'I'm not really that talented.'
BENTLEY: 'Are you kidding? You're just as great as the Chipmunks. You should take part in the Earth Day Benefit Con…'
Penny covered Bentley's mouth.
PENNY: 'I don't wanna sing in that concert. I'm nervous of singing in front of other people. I just love to sing, while I'm alone in my room. When I spotted you, I lost my concentration.'
She let go of Bentley's mouth.
BENTLEY: 'I'm sorry, Penny.'
PENNY: 'It's something I love to do in private. You understand, right?'
BENTLEY: 'I understand.'

THE RACCOONS HOME: LISA'S ROOM
Lisa and Michelle were singing "Here I Go Again", and they were dancing to the music, with the Chipettes watching. Bentley walked in through the open door.
BENTLEY: 'Err Lisa?'
Lisa turned off the music.
LISA: 'Don't you know how to knock, Buster?!'
BENTLEY: 'I-I-I'm sorry sis, but I need your help.'
LISA: 'What is it?'
BENTLEY: 'Penny is a great singer, but she doesn't want others to know. She's nervous about singing in front of others. And I would like her to sing at the concert.'
LISA: 'The best thing you can do is let her decide. Don't pressure her, Okay?'
MICHELLE: 'She's right, Bentley.'
BENTLEY: 'Okay, sis, Michelle.'
He left the room.
BRITTANY: 'Gosh. I didn't know Penny could sing. She should sing at the concert.'
ELEANOR: 'Remember what Lisa said, Brittany? Don't pressure her.'
LISA: 'That's right. So whaddaya think, Brit?'
BRITTANY: 'Well, I gotta admit your singing is slightly like Lisa Lougheed's.'
LISA: (sarcastically) 'Thank you.'
JEANETTE: 'I've done research on her. Aside from her music career, Lisa Lougheed's now currently married to another singer and lives in Chicago, Illinois. And they have a son, Jared Alexander Rutledge, who is now part of a hockey team representing the USA.'
MICHELLE: 'Wow, they must really like hockey.'
LISA: 'Probably about as much as Bert and the others. I remember them telling me that they had a hockey match against Mr. Sneer's bears a few years back, to stop him from making a skating arena over Evergreen Lake.'
The Chipettes and Michelle were shocked.
BRITTANY: 'Now what possessed Mr. Sneer to do that?'
LISA: 'Money, I guess? But Bert and the others did win.'
ELEANOR: 'Well that's good.'
LISA: 'And it's also how Cedric and Sophia first met.'
MICHELLE: 'Aw, that's nice.'
JEANETTE: 'Very. And now they're married.'
LISA: 'Speaking of which, maybe you guys could do something for my mom and dad's anniversary, or maybe Uncle Ralph and Aunt Melissa's.'
JEANETTE: 'Perhaps.'
BRITTANY: 'And perhaps you may consider having us and the Chipmunks perform when you and Bert decide to tie the knot.'
LISA: (blushing) 'Gee, thanks you guys.'

THE RACCOONDOMINIUM
Bert and Alvin were playing the Digimon card game. Ralph, Melissa and the other Chipmunks were there too.
BERT: 'I win this time.'
ALVIN: 'Aww man. How could you win?'
BERT: 'I've been practicing since the last time we played.'
RALPH: 'He's right, Alvin. Melissa and I trained him well.'
MELISSA: 'That's right.'
ALVIN: 'Hah! You just got lucky.'
SIMON: 'Remember, Alvin. It's only a game.'
BERT: 'How 'bout another game?'
ALVIN: 'No problem. After all, after I win you can tell us about what songs you'd like us to sing when you and Lisa decide to get hitched.'
BERT: 'Gee, Alvin. I didn't think you'd offer.'
THEODORE: 'Just letting you know ahead of time.'
BERT: 'Thanks. Now let's get this game under way.'

THE SNEER MANSION
Sophia was humming a little tune while she and Cedric were walking down the stairs.
SOPHIA: 'I can hardly wait for the concert, can't you Cedric?'
CEDRIC: 'Yeah. Far as I know it'll be the 4th one done by the Chipmunks and Chipettes.'
Just then they heard a knock on the door. They answered, and it was Bentley.
CEDRIC: 'Bentley, what brings you here?'
BENTLEY: 'I'm here to see your dad. Is he in?'
CEDRIC: 'He's gone to the Forest Bowl, to get things ready for the upcoming concert.'
BENTLEY: 'Thanks.'
Bentley runs off.

THE FOREST BOWL
Cyril was there, and so were the Pigs, and Ingrid Bellamour, Mr. Knox and Lady Baden-Baden.
CYRIL: 'Excellent work, Pigs.'
INGRID: 'The Earth Day concert is gonna be great.'
KNOX: 'Mr. Sneer, do you plan to sing that infamous "Success" song again?'
CYRIL: 'No, I'm not gonna sing it.'
KNOX: 'Good.'
CYRIL: 'I am going to play it, on my saxophone.'
INGRID: (to Cyril) 'You play the saxophone?'
CYRIL: 'Sure do. Woodchuck Berry and I go way back.'
INGRID: 'You know Woodchuck Berry? Amazing.'
She hugged Cyril, and he turned red as she hugged him.
The Pigs were working.
LLOYD: 'Have you two got dates for the concert?'
BOYD: 'No.'
FLOYD: 'Why?'
LLOYD: 'Because I have. Her name is Alicia Pig. She has two sisters. Maybe they can go to the concert with you guys That'll show Brittany, saying we can't get dates.'
Floyd and Boyd cheered as they did a high-five.
CYRIL: (to the Pigs) 'Hey, I don't pay you Three Stooges to gossip! Get back to work!'
PIGS: 'Y-Y-Y-Yes Boss.'
They went back to work. Bentley ran up to them, panting from the running he had done.
LLOYD: 'Bentley. What's wrong?'
BENTLEY: (between breaths) 'I've been running around trying to find Mr. Sneer.'
BOYD: 'Is that all? He's right over there.'
He pointed to Cyril.
BENTLEY: (still between breaths) 'Thanks, guys.'
He walked towards Cyril.
CYRIL: 'Bentley, you're exhausted. Better drink some water. Here.'
He gave Bentley a cup of water, and Bentley drank it.
BENTLEY: 'Thank you, Mr. Sneer.'
CYRIL: 'So, what brings you here?'
BENTLEY: 'It appears that my friend Penny has a great singing voice, and is afraid to actually show it at the concert.'
CYRIL: 'Bentley my boy, she must have stage fright. I had stage fright myself.'
BENTLEY: 'You were afraid to perform on stage?'
CYRIL: 'Sure was. But then I had the courage to help my old friend Woodchuck Berry. In fact, I'm gonna play the sax at the concert.'
BENTLEY: 'Wow. But how do I get Penny to change her mind about performing at the concert?'
CYRIL: 'You should let Penny conquer her fear on her own. Don't force her to do anything she doesn't wanna do. Understand?'
BENTLEY: 'I understand, Mr. Sneer.'
CYRIL: 'Good boy. Now you should go home. We still have work to do to get this place all ready for the concert. I'm sure it's gonna go with a bang.'
BENTLEY: 'Thanks, Mr. Sneer.'

EARTH DAY: THE CONCERT AT THE FOREST BOWL
There was a big crowd of people, watching the concert. Lloyd was there with his date, Alicia Pig. She had short black hair, green eyes, and small blue glasses.

Penny watched the performances with her parents.
PENNY: Those guys were good. I wish I had the courage to perform.'
Bentley walked up to her, with Cyril Sneer behind him.
CYRIL: 'Hey Penny. Bentley told me about your stage freight.'
PENNY: 'I wish I could sing on stage, but then I fear I would get booed off the stage.'
CYRIL: 'That's what I thought when I was on stage for the first time. But thanks to a friend of mine, I was able to conquer that fear. You don't have to do it, but if you miss an opportunity like this, you might regret it one day. Well, enjoy the rest of the concert.'
He walked off. Penny thought to herself, and looked at the Chipmunks and Chipettes performing.
PENNY: 'Bentley, I'm gonna do it. I am going to sing on stage.'
She got up and ran off.
The Chipmunks and the Chipettes finished performing "We Are Family". And Ingrid walked onto the stage.
INGRID: 'Ladies and gentlemen, we have another performer who wishes to share with us a song. Please give it up for Penny Raccoon.'
She walked off stage, and Penny walked on stage.
PENNY: (nervously) 'Hello, everyone. I just want you to know that we should do our best to keep our oceans clean, especially after what happened recently in the Gulf of Mexico. And I wanna sing a song from one of my favourite Disney movies. I am going to sing "Part of Your World" from "The Little Mermaid".'
She performed the song, and the audience cheered. Alicia kissed Lloyd, who blushed. After she finished, Penny bowed to the audience, and ran off stage, and up to the Chipmunks and the Chipettes.
BRITTANY: 'Penny, you were great.'
CYRIL: (walking up to them) 'Great? You were fantastic. Penny, you have great talent.'
Then her parents walked up.
PENNY: 'What'd you guys think?'
MARGARET: (hugging Penny, sniffling) 'You were wonderful, sweetie.'
LAWRENCE: 'We very proud of you, honey.'
PENNY: (blushing) 'Thanks everybody.'
The concert continued on. Alicia Pig went on stage, and sang "If I Never Knew You" from Disney's Pocahontas, and she sang it to Lloyd. Then the Chipmunks and Chipettes singing "Send It On".
NARRATOR: 'That night, Penny overcame her fear of stage fright, and discovered what others thought of her singing talent. And since then, she was happy to sing, whenever she wanted.'
